Josh stays busy with school, and is a fantastic videographer! Even with his busy schedule, he still showed up and gave this track his best. His growing confidence really comes through, and I'm proud to feature his progress this month.

After more than 15,000 lessons and 8000 performances, I’ve learned that teaching isn’t just showing someone what to play — it’s helping them understand how to learn.

My goal is simple: guide students the way I wish someone had guided me.

I teach my students not only how to play the drums, but also how to record professional‑quality drum tracks using studio software and equipment. Students may choose any song they like; once we learn it together, they record their own drum performance for it. From there, I guide them through the full process of editing, mixing, and producing their track.
This approach allows each student to personalize their sound. They can experiment with different drum kits, snares, toms, cymbals, and a wide range of effects and plugins to shape the final result. When the project is complete, they leave with a finished .WAV or .MP3 file—something they can share, be proud of, and keep forever

On April 26th, 2022 I began working with Tony. He had played the piano before, but wanted to PLAY DRUMS. He's has worked very hard over the last few years! 
We recorded and filmed this last week!
